New CatchCome see Comme Ça
Top L.A. chef David Myers, owner of Sona and Boule Patisserie, opens Comme Ça brasserie on Melrose Avenue. Chef Michael David, who moves over from Sona, offers traditional fare such as soupe a l’oignon gratinee (below), escargot persillade, moules frites, steak frite and coq au vin. Desserts, courtesy of Boule Patisserie, include brioche pudding and homemade ice creams and sorbets. Sample American and French fromages and 20 wines by the glass at the cheese counter near the entrance; the 125-bottle wine list leans towards Rhone-style and Grenache blends. Enjoy shellfish and innovative cocktails at the no-reservations raw bar. 8479 Melrose Ave., West Hollywood, 323.782.1104.
