FRANK LLOYD GALLERY  During the early 1950s, artists such as Peter Voulkos, John Mason, Paul Soldner, Susan Peterson and others led a Southern California-based revolution in clay that moved ceramics from a crafts medium into the realm of fine art and sculpture. LA LUZ DE JESUS GALLERY  Few galleries can boast about launching an art movement. PATRICIA CORREIA GALLERY  The Chicano art movement of the late 1960s spawned an outpouring of painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking and conceptual art. Generally presented in vibrantly colorful, politically potent images, artists further expressed themselves via a cross-cultural visual vocabulary gleaned from the streets of East L.A. and peppered with Catholic religious imagery.
