"Status Factory" The Art of Ron English Opening Nov. 11. A surreal assemblage of more than 100 works that trace the arc of the artist's most ambitious themes across mediums. English coined the term "POPaganda" to describe his signature mash-up of high and low cultural touchstones, from superhero mythology to totems of art history. The abstract oil painter showcases his latest series of work that magnifies the contrasting details between light and dark. Elias studied Design Art and Architecture at Otis Parsons, after receiving a BFA from San Diego State University.
